Quadra TV

Quadra TV is a performative installation created for 4 analogue televisions.

The basic concept is that analogue sound signals are fed to 4 TV’s, the TV’s treat the signals as video input, thus converting the sound into light.
The light being emitted from the screen is then picked-up by LED sensors and after losing some information and gaining some noise the signals are converted back into sound and send back to the tv’s, closing the circle.

Quadra Tv can run as a standalone installation, and is used in a performance setting. Originally the installation was made for analogue TVs, but it has been performed on modern LEDs and projection screens as well.
